A Bit About Me
Andrew Waller serves as Managing Director & Senior Advisor with LTC Specialists, where he works directly with individuals, families, and employers on long-term care education, planning, and insurance strategies. He also leads the firm’s Professional Partnership Program, developing strategic relationships with financial planners, estate and elder law attorneys, Medicare and Medicare Supplement advisors, employee benefits professionals, and other professionals involved in retirement and aging-related planning.
Andrew has more than three decades of experience in financial services and insurance planning. After earning his MBA in 1992, he began his career as a large corporate lending officer with a national bank and later founded an independent voluntary employee benefits brokerage.
As a long-term care advisor, Andrew specializes in helping clients understand how health insurance, Medicare, Medicare Supplement coverage, Medicaid, personal assets, and insurance solutions intersect with long-term care needs. His education-first approach focuses on helping clients understand what Medicare does and does not cover, the potential financial impact of an extended care need, and the range of planning strategies available across the insurance marketplace.
Andrew also has extensive experience with Group Voluntary Long-Term Care programs, helping employers evaluate LTC coverage as an employee-paid voluntary benefit that can enhance a company’s benefits offering without requiring the employer to fund the coverage.
Through the LTC Specialists Professional Partnership Program, Andrew works with select professional firms to integrate long-term care planning into the broader retirement, estate, insurance, and financial planning process. Partnerships may include joint educational webinars and seminars, collaborative marketing, LTC Specialists’ Long-Term Care Learning Center, white-label educational resources, and coordinated client planning. The program is built around education, confidentiality, communication, and respect for each professional’s client relationships, with the goal of creating long-term, reciprocal partnerships that benefit both firms and the clients they serve.
